WEST SPRINGFIELD - Sister Mary of the Sorrowful Heart, of the Dominican Nuns in West Springfield, died at Mt. Vincent Care Center on Thursday, April 17th after a brief illness. She was born on May 29, 1929 in Worcester, MA and was the daughter of the late James and Nora (O'Reilly) Hunt. She was educated in Worcester schools and completed one year in Nurses' Training. In 1948 she entered the Dominican Monastery of the Mother of God in West Springfield where she served many years as Infirmarian. She was also one of the main artists in the Spiritual Bouquet Department, giving many dedicated years to inscribing cards. Sister was a very bubbly person and never failed to put a smile on anyone's face. She also enjoyed gardening and had a wonderful green thumb.
