Effie Magnolia Mason Yell, 87, of Hazel Green, Ala., died Saturday, April 1, 1989, in the Lincoln Skill Care Center.
Funeral services were conducted Monday in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green with the Rev. James W. Berry and the Rev. Rodney Davidson officiating. Burial followed in the State Line Cemetery, Madison County, AL.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Jackson and Addie McKee Mason, a housewife, a former member of the New Sharon Home Demonstration Club and a member of the Hills Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Yell of Hazel Green; four daughters, Sara Gregory, Gertrude Weeks, Shirley Mann and Jennie Buffington, all of Hazel Green; a son, Wallace Yell of Huntsville; a sister, Sallie Ethridge of Hazel Green; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
