Internment will be made in Delhi cemetery with Fatheree Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hugh Campbell was born in Tennessee, March 23, 1869. At the age of three his parents moved to Missouri where they resided for several years.
While still in his teens they moved to Fannin County, Texas where he grew to manhood. He met and married Miss Cora Maude McCubbins, Nov. 1, 1896 and to this union eight children were born, five sons and three daughters. His wife and one daughter preceded him to the great beyond.
At an early age he gave his life to Jesus and united with the Presbyterian church. After moving to Delhi in 1901, there being no Presbyterian church there, he worshiped with all denominations.
About 20 years ago he joined the Church of the Nazarene and to this faith he has been faithful to the end.
Tuesday Dec. 5, 1944 he fell asleep to be with Jesus. He leaves five sons, Moody of Cushing, Okla., Revell of Glenrock, Wyoming, Arthur of Del Passo Heights, Calif., T-Sgt. Raymond, somewhere in the Pacific, Pvt. Bill, c-o Postmaster New York; two daughters, Mrs. Millie Wells, Erick and mrs. Nona Kersey, Sayre; 21 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
