Catherine (sic Christiana), wife of David Renno, died suddenly of paralysis, while visiting relatives in Philadelphia, Fri. evening, aged 79 years, 2 months and 2 days. She was ailing for some time, but was in fairly good health, when she left here three weeks ago, to pay her sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Ely and her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Price, a visit. She died at the home of the latter. Her husband who was a well-known bridge builder, died 10 years ago. He worked in the South before and after the Civil War. Mrs. Renno was a native of Reading and was a daughter of Abraham and Maria Clemmens. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, but when St. John's German Lutheran congregation was started, she became a member and attended services regularly when her health permitted. She had a host of friends. Her daughter, Mrs. Price and these brothers and sisters remain: Mrs. Ely, of Phila., Mrs. Susan Haden and Abraham Clemmens, of Reading; Daniel Clemmens, Lancaster; and Mrs. Adeline Dodson, Chambersburg, North Carolina. The remains will be brought to her late home 311 South 13th , where she was housekeeping with her granddaughter, Mrs. L. Boyer Yeager. Funeral director, Hunter Henninger.
