Daughter of John Colsch and Christina Maginot.
Frank Charles Berke and Clara Christina Colsch were married July 20, 1908 at Boston, Mass. Clara had been working in a factory at this time.

BERKE--June 4, 1979, Mrs. Clara C. Berke, aged 94 years, 2611 - 23 Ave. S.W. Beloved mother of Mrs. Clara Bullen, Mrs. Dorothy Leonard and Bill Berke, Calgary; Herbert and his wife, Edea, High River; Frank and his wife, Sheila, Hannah. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Charles in April, 1975. Mrs. Berke came to Calgary with her husband and two children in 1913. They later moved into the Markerville, Alberta, District but returned to Calgary in 1920 and took up residence in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish where she resided until her death. Many of her earlier days were spent working for her church with the Catholic Women's League in raising funds for the building of the present church. She organized the ladies joining their husbands in the Knights of Columbus Bowling League and many trophies adorn her home. Her life was dedicated to her husband and family and they were blessed with a wonderful example as wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all, including many wonderful neighbors as she resided at her present address for 52 years.
