BERKE--April 20, 1975, Frank C. Berke, beloved husband of Mrs. Clara C. Berke, of 2611 23rd Ave. S.W., beloved father of Mrs. E. H. (Clara) Bullen, Mrs. E. C. (Dorothy) Leonard, both of Calgary, Mr. Herbert Berke and daughter-in-law, Edea of High River, Mr. Frank Berks and daughter-in-law, Sheila, of Hanna, Alta. and Mr. William John Berke of Calgary, passed away in a local hospital following a brief illness at the age of 90 years. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Born at Boston, Mass., Mr. Berke came to Calgary in 1913. Later he farmed for three years in the Markerville district west of Innisfail and then returned to Calgary to his former position with the Calgary Herald and then as superintendent of the Greyhound Building retiring in 1967 with 53 years of service with the Calgary Herald and the Greyhound Company. He was a long-time member of the Sacred Heart Church, an Honorary Member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1186, and a life member of the Earl Grey Golf Club.
