Major League Baseball Player. The right-hander pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1920 to 1927 and the Brooklyn Robins (Dodgers) from 1929 to 1930. His best season was 1923, when he was 25-13 with a 3.49 earned run average and logged 301 innings. He led the National League in appearances in 1924 with 41 and in 1925 with 44. In 1925 he was 17-14 and pitched in three games in the World Series against the Washington Senators without a decision. He twice led the NL in shutouts with three in 1921 and five in 1922. His lifetime record was 103-80 (including 28-12 in relief) with a 3.65 ERA and 90 complete games in 164 starts. He was the brother of Phil Morrison, who pitched one game for Pittsburgh in 1921.
