Rites Held for Charles Erickson

Charles Erickson, retired farmer of the Swaburg vicinity, passed
away last Wednesday at a Norfolk Hospital, aged 77. Brief services
were held at the Wollmer & Warne funeral home Friday, followed by
services in the Congregational church in Uehling. Rev. W. A.
Albright officiated, and music was furnished by Carol Lee Realph
and Lanell Clough, accompanied by Mrs. Ivan Wedergren. Pallbearers
were George Otteman, Arthur Gustafson, Marvin Mattson, Ernest
Strand, Lawrence Strand, and John Larson. Interment was in the
Baptist cemetery. Born Nov. 30, 1870 in Omaha, Mr. Erickson married
Frances Olson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Olson, in 1896. The
couple lived in the Swaburg community until 1926, when he retired
from farming and they moved to Uehling. He is survived by three
children, Mrs. Arthur Larson, Mrs. Earl Wedergren, and Charles R.
Erickson, all of Hooper, four grandchildren, one great grandchild,
and a brother, Erick Erickson of Fremont. He was preceded in death
by his wife and three children.
