Funeral At Hospers For Roy De Jong

Roy De Jong, 48, living north of Alton, died Wednesday last at the Orange City hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Christian Reformed church, Hospers. Burial was in Hospers Cemetery.

Mr. De Jong was born Jan. 22, 1915 at Games. He married Harriet Venema Feb. 16, 1939, at Hospers.

Surviving are Mrs. De Jong, two sons and two daughters: Glen And Eugene, Marcia and Ann; his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank De Jong, 3 sisters Mrs. Joe Smit and Mrs. Henry Kreykes, Mrs. Wm. Smit as brother, Burt and stepbrother, Julius.
