Rosella Kathrein, 68, Lincoln, North Dakota, passed away Sunday August 31, 2014, in Rochester, Minnesota. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday September 5, 2014, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan with Deacon Terry Glatt officiating. Visitation will be the two hours prior to services on Friday. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Rosella was born on September 8, 1945, at New England, North Dakota, to Joseph and Florence (Greff) Frank. She was raised and educated in Montana and North Dakota, and graduated from Dickinson High School. She worked as a Nurses Aid for many years at St. Luke’s Nursing Home and Evergreen Assisted Living in Dickinson until her retirement. After retirement she moved to Lincoln to be closer to family. She enjoyed reading and doing crafts but mostly spent time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Nick, Lincoln, North Dakota; four daughters, Teresa (Mike) Carey, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Nancy (David) Wallock, Rogers, Minnesota, Brenda (Mark Keller) Kathrein, Dickinson, North Dakota, and Amy Kathrein, Maple Grove, Minnesota; one son, Dale (Jeannie) Kathrein; one sister Carol Krous, both of Fargo, North Dakota; one brother, Claude (Cecelia) Frank, Spokane, Washington; and five grandchildren, Brendon, Alaina, Shawn, Alivia and Isabella.
Rosella was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Kathleen Brew.
