Curey, Madeline Joyce, aged 89, passed away at the Eaton Community Palliative Care facility September 1, 2014. She is survived by three children; Karen (Dennis) Bradley of Springport, JoAnn (Michael) LaCourt of Houghton and Robert (Karen S.) Curey of Burr Oak, nine grandchildren; Michael, Robert (Melanie) Bradley, Craig (Shami), Stephen (Michele) and Matthew (Cynthia) LaCourt, Tadd (Amy) McMichael, Joel Curey, Lacie (Keith) Fisher and Danielle (Glendon) Miller, nineteen great-grandchildren, her faithful friend Tobi, numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in law. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude in 1989, parents; Albert and Eva Bonney, four brothers and two sisters. Madeline retired as an LPN from Sturgis Hospital, graduated with the Jackson High Class of 1944 and enjoyed cross-stitching, reading, spectator sports, crocheting and travel. Services will be held at the funeral home Friday, September 5, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Melissa Claxton officiating. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation Thursday evening 6-8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to the American Heart Association or the Mason Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund
