He was born Aug. 31, 1932 in Jackson to Albert and Eva Long Bonney He married Jane Marie.
He received his education in Jackson and attended Eastern Michigan University. He lived most of his life in Michigan and had also lived in California and Utah. He worked as a private contractor for six years and prior to that had worked for Clark Equipment in Jackson.
His survivors include his wife; four sons and two daughters. Daniel James Bonney. Richard James Bonney. both of Jackson; David Allan Bonney, Casper, Wyo. Dean Ray Bonney, serving an LDS mission in Guatemala; Mrs. Edward (Lynne) Blaser, Barbara Susan Bonney, both of Orem; six grandchildren; one brother and three sisters. Gordon Bonney. Michigan; Mrs. Claude (Joyce) Curry, Three Oaks. Mrs. Frank (Neva) Vido. Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Tom (Norma) Maske, Jackson. Mich.
