Lucy Smith Adkins of Big Laurel died at Hager, Union District, on January 9, 1932. She was the widow of Clayburn G. Adkins, and the daughter of Samuel and Mahala Adkins Smith. The cause of death was a cold which turned to pnuemonia. Dr. George Walden signed the death certificate and the informant is listed as Jane Plumley of Hager.
