Blanchard, LA - Goldie Mae Davis, 87, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2014. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating the life of Ms. Goldie at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall St., Shreveport, LA. Tuesday April 8, 2014 at 2 P.M. Officiating will be Assoc. Pastor Dale Saul of The First Baptist Church of Blanchard, LA.

Ms. Goldie was born on Aug. 23, 1926, to Leon and Della Doyle in Pitkin, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 58 years Elmo Davis.

Left to cherish her memory, daughter, Patsy D. Johnson of Blanchard; son, Glenn E Davis and wife, Janice of Dawsonville, GA.; Grandchildren, Jill Hill of Auburn, AL. and Jeffery Davis of Atlanta, GA.; Great-grandchildren, Jane Hill and Joseph Hill of Auburn, AL and Madelyn Davis of Atlanta, Ga.

The family would like to thank her caregivers Patti, Carolyn and Suzone for the special love and care they gave Ms. Goldie.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to The First Baptist Church "Prayer Garden", P. 0. Box 65, Blanchard, La. 71009
