Maggie Thompson
Pitkin – Services for Maggie Thompson will be at 1 pm Wednesday in Occupy No. 1 Baptist Church with the Rev. James Johnson and Farran Bertrand officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Ardoin, Oakdale.
Mrs. Thompson, 81, of Pitkin died at 11:40 am Monday in Humana Hospital, Oakdale.
She was a member of Occupy No. 1 Baptist Church and was a retired Vernon Parish bus driver.
Survivors include her husband, Earnest Thompson of Pitkin; two sons, Wade Thompson of West Monroe and Reeves G. Thompson of Boyce; four daughters, Opel Hines, Belva S. Ryan, Carolyn B. Melder and Olean T. Singletary, all of Pitkin; one brother, Wavy Doyle of Alexandria; two sisters, Lanie Doyle of Tallahassee, Fla., and Goldie Davis of Blanchard; 26 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
