Mae Jones, formerly of Plymouth, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, in Wesley Village. She was born in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Gillespie Sims. She attended Plymouth Borough schools and graduated from Plymouth High School, Class of 1943. Mae was a member of the Franklin Street Primitive Methodist Church where she was a member of the senior choir and taught Sunday school. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Pomeroys and The Bon Ton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, in 1972; brothers, Thomas, Arthur, Charles, William, Paul and John; sisters, Margaret Paul, Mable Balleck, Louise Hunlock, and Miriam Boyd. The family wants to thank Wesley Village for their love and special care.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Williams-Hagen Funeral Home, 114 West Main St., Plymouth, with the Rev. Kyle Gilder officiating. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franklin Street Primitive Church, 181 Franklin St., Plymouth, PA 18651.
