Mr. Bates has lived in Little Falls for over 20 years. He was formerly employed as a sawyer at the saw mill here. For the past seven months he has been employed at Williston, N. D.
His two sisters, Mrs. E. J. Beattie and Miss Maud Bates, were called to Williston by his illness and were there at the time of his death.
The remains were brought to (Little) Falls Wednesday evening and the funeral was held yesterday at 2:30 p. m. from the Beattie residence, Rev. P. E. Gregory officiating. Interment was in Oakland cemetery.
