Nora Marie (Murray) Enos-McMasters, 79, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Union Hospital in Dover, O., following a lengthy illness.

Born March 28, 1930, in Tuscarawas County, O., she was a daughter of the late Owen Henry and Olive Blanche (Leggett) Murray.
A lifelong resident of the area, Marie was an active member of the Uhrichsville Moose Ladies' Auxiliary for many years. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, she had worked at Bates Metal for nearly 30 years until her retirement in the late '90s. She attended Grace Baptist Church in Uhrichsville.

Marie was blessed with eight children, Frances "Fran" Burcher of Port Washington, Robert E. Enos and his wife, Mary, of New Philadelphia, Carl H. Enos and his wife, Gilda, of Uhrichsville, Janie Western and her husband, Milloni "Butch," of Sherrodsville, Kenny Enos and his wife, Toni, of Gnadenhutten, Olive Enos and her companion, Ralph Harshey, of Dennison, Jerry Enos and his wife, Donna, of Uhrichsville, and Bruce Enos and his wife, Leslie, of Uhrichsville; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a sister, Elva Gordon of Uhrichsville; a sister-in-law, Rosie Murray of Uhrichsville; her former spouse, Paul Enos of Uhrichsville; a special friend, Oscar Jones of Beach City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. "Mick" McMasters; a grandson, Rob Western; two sons-in-law, John Burcher and Kevin Keeton; six sisters, Ruth Orr, Anna Mae Halsey, June Berkshire, Mary Quillen, Audrey Doughty and Pauline Wagner; and three brothers, Thomas, Paul and Theodore Murray.

Family meant everything to Marie, and she delighted in the time that she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with all the ladies at her niece Barb's beauty shop and baby-sitting for her nephew, J.J.

Services for Marie, officiated by Pastor Jose Pena Jr., will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m. in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville's Union Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, during which time a Moose Ladies' Auxiliary Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her family in care of R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home.
