Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic church at Granville 10;30 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, for Edward J. Schneider, 79, retired farmer of Granville, who died February 14 at the Remsen retirement home.
Burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Schneider was born at Alton, May 1, 1892. He married Alma Kettler, June 19, 1916, at Alton. She died in 1967. The couple had farmed in the Alton area until retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Verla and Charlene, two sons, LeRoy, and Donald; a brother, Chris; three sisters, Catherine Friedman, Clara and Mrs. Leo Blanchette; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
