Amelia Louise Matthias was the daughter of Henry J Matthias 1845 and Anna Maria Sieber.

Amelia married Heinrich Karl Ernest Baryenbruch, the son of Johann Ernst Baryenbruch, on October 25, 1892, in Liberty, Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

The couple lived in Newton, Manitiwoc, Wisconsin. They had nine children.

AMELIA BARYENBRUCH cemetery #70 Mrs. Amelia Baryenbruch, 67, of 1520 Clark street, died Sunday noon at the Holy Family hospital after a lingering illness Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home and at two o'clock from the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church at Newton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Baryenbruch, nee Amelia Matthis, was born in Sheboygan county in 1872 and when a girl came to this county with her parents. The family located on a farm in Liberty. She was married in 1891 to Henry Baryenbruch, who operated a cheese factory in Newton until 1909. They purchased a farm in the same town. Mr. Baryenbruch died in 1911. Mrs. Baryenbruch operated the farm until 1927 when she moved to this city. She was a member of the Newton congregation.
