Hilda J. Burns was born on April 22, 1932, Carrollton, AL to William and Annie Lancaster. Hilda, 82, went home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2014.
Hilda was a loving mother and grandmother. She was active in the Salvation Army and various churches throughout her life. Hilda was a devout Christian all her life. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, arts & crafts, reading and helping others whenever there was a need.
She was preceded in death by two of her children Calvin Burns, Nadine Burns Gonzales and her husband Carl V. Burns. She is also preceded in death by her parents Annie Lancaster, William Lancaster of Carrollton, Al and 5 siblings.
Hilda is survived by her 3 children, Jim Burns of Watsonville, CA, Jerry Burns of Phoenix, AZ and Judie Paxton of Fayetteville, AR. She has 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren. Also survived by two brothers, Joe Lancaster of Carrollton, AL., and Carroll Dean Lancaster of Columbus, Mississippi.
