RUTH DYZBALYS FREUND
Ruth (Koenig) Dyzbalys Freund, age 93, formerly of Valders died Sunday evening, July 17, 2011 at Holy Family Memorial, Manitowoc. She had been a resident of River Woods Estates in Manitowoc the past 5 years.
She was the former Ruth Koenig born December 25, 1917 in the Town of Liberty, daughter of the late Jacob & Elizabeth Schroeder Koenig. Her first marriage was to Edward Dyzbalys.
He preceded her in death in 1986.
On September 14, 1990 she married Harold Freund at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz.
Harold preceded her in death on April 4, 2004.
Ruth & Edward owned & operated the former Pigeon Lake Resort for many years. Ruth was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz.
She is survived by two granddaughters: Jill Pate of Texas, Dawn Bunny of Arizona, one great grandchild, one stepdaughter, Jean & David Hess, Chanhassen, MN, four stepsons: James Freund, Sheboygan, Stephen (Theresa) Freund, Kiel, Michael (Vicky) Freund, Darboy, Dennis (Teresa) Freund, Appleton and ten step-grandchildren, She is further survived by two step great
grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Loretta Koenig, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Edward Dyzbalys and Harold Freund, one son, Dale Dyzbalys, three brothers, Earl, Elmer & Robert Koenig, four sisters, Marion Brown, Viola Meyer, Irene Schnettler, Lauretta Sollers and
one sister-in-law, Mary Jo Koenig.
The funeral Mass for Ruth will be celebrated on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz with Rev. Patrick Nelson S.D.S. officiating.
Burial will take place in Knollwood Memorial Park, Manitowoc. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
