EARL E. KOENIG
Earl E. Koenig, 70, of 2732 Memorial Drive, Two Rivers, died Friday March 3 in St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Richard Heymen will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Koenig was born September 30, 1907 at Silver Lake, Manitowoc County, son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Schroeder Koenig. He married Leona G. Reesdorf January 8, 1935 in Cross Plains, Dane Co., Wis. The couple lived in Hortonville for 13 years before moving to Manitowoc. She preceded him in death April 7, 1962. He married Shirley Krizek August 27, 1968 in Manitowoc, the couple making their home in Two Rivers.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Robert Meister of Manitowoc; a brother, Robert Koenig of Decatur, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Marion Brown of Manitowoc, Mrs. Viola Meyer of Valders, Mrs. Irene Schnettler of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Paul (Loretta) Sollers of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Dyzbalys of rural Valders and three grandchildren, Scott, Chris and Staci Meister and his father-in-law, Walter Schutz Sr. of Two Rivers. A brother, Elmer, preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m.
