Bonnie B. Martin, 95, formerly of Taylor, Mo., died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2000, at Country Aire Retirement Estates in Lewistown, Mo.

Born May 7, 1905, in Mount Carmel, Ill., she was the daughter of Edward and Sally Cunningham Baxley. She married Claude Martin on May 28, 1932, in Chicago. He died July 19, 1974.

Mrs. Martin lived in Mount Carmel for 19 years and then in Chicago for 13 years. She and her husband then moved to Canton, Mo., where they owned and operated the Martin Motel until 1966.

She was a member of the Louisiana (Mo.) Methodist Church and enjoyed knitting.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan Christy of Perry and Jean Foxall of Taylor, Mo.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk.

The graveside service for Mrs. Martin will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Sunset Memorial Park, with the Rev. William Mitchell officiating.

Bonnie was a resident of Taylor, Missouri.
