Josephine [age 39, Postmistress], widow, her three children, and her grandmother Lucy K. (Gammin) Hale [age 89], widow, were living in Middlesex, New York, in the 1920 census. Her grandmother was not living with them in the 1925 Syracuse, New York, census. Leona married Harold Leslie Hawkes, August 26, 1927, in Maine.
