Folk Figure. Adams was a Private on board the training frigate the 'HMS Atalanta.' With a crew of about 281 men representing the British Royal Navy, the ship was lost somewhere between Bermuda and Falmouth, England, in the area known as the Bermuda Triangle. It was thought that the ship was destroyed by a massive storm or that the crew were wiped out by a yellow fever epidemic. It is another one of the Bermuda Triangle's great mysteries. There is a memorial to the 281 or so men that died at the St. Ann's Church in Portsmouth, England.
