Private funeral services for Napoleon Broward Kemp, 72, a pioneer resident of the New Berlin area will be held this morning in the chapel of Hardage and Sons Northside Funeral Home, 34th and Main streets.
The Rev. Frank P. Dearing rector of the St. Mary's Episcopal Church will officiate. Internment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Kemp, a lifetime resident of the New Berlin community died Monday of a heart ailment. His parents, Capt. and Mrs. David Kemp, settled in the New Berlin area following the Civil War.
Mr. Kemp was a retired light attendant for the U. S. Coast Guard, and a member of Our Merciful Saviour Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel F. Kemp, a daughter, Mrs. J. R. Newsome of New Berlin; two sons, N. B. Kemp Jr. and William David Kemp both of Jacksonville; four sisters, Mrs. C. D. Jenkins and Mrs. R. A. Carlton, both of Jacksonville, and Mr. J. A. Ward and Mrs. C. D. Thames, both of Tampa; and five grandchildren.
