Long Time Citizen Called

Herman Dambrink Passed Away Friday At His Home

Herman Dambrink, a longtime resident of this city passed away early Friday morning at his home following a sickness of several days. Mr. Dambrink suffered a stroke a week ago and his condition gradually grew worse.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at one o'clock from Mauer's funeral home with Rev. F. P. Pfalzgraff officiating. Interment was made in the city cemetery, six grandsons if the deceased acted as pallbearers.

Herman Louis Dambrink was born on November 12, 1864. He came to the United States when a young man of 18 and settled in LeMars where he had been a resident 56 year, Mr. Dambrink was an employee of the Plymouth Milling Co. for over 30 years. On April 7, 1888, he married Jessie Vanderberg and they would have been married 52 years this year.

Mr. Dambrink served for two years on the LeMars police force under Mayor John Cooper. He was also a member of the fire department.

Surviving to mourn his loss are the widow and five children Peter F. Dambrink, Sioux City; Dow Dambrink, LeMars; Henry Dambrink, LeMars; Mrs. Charles Trafford, LeMars. One daughter, Frances, died in infancy and one son, William H., died during the World War In the service of his country.

Mr. Dambrink was a member of the First Presbyterian church and was well known in a large circle of friends, and neighbors who will regret to learn of his passing
