DAMBRINK RITES THIS AFTERNOON
Pionner LeMars Woman Passed Away At Home of Daughter

Mrs. Jessie V. Dambrink, a resident of LeMars for the past 61 years, died Friday afternoon, Nov. 10, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jake Berkenpas, Seney, at the age of 77 years. For the past several months she has been in failing health.

Jessie Vanderberg was born Oct. 18, 1867, in Dykshoek, Friesland, the Netherlands, and at the age of 16 years came to this country and settle in LeMars, which has since been her home.

She was united in marriage with Herman L. Dambrink on April 7, 1888. To this union six children were born. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Jake Berkenpas, of Seney; Dow and Henry and one adopted child, Mrs. Chas. E. Trafford, all of LeMars; one sister, Mrs. Louis Luikens of LeMars; one brother, Jake Vanderberg of Stockwell, Ind. Also 20 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter Flora, who died in infancy, and William and Peter. Mrs. Dambrink was a Gold Star Mother, losing her son William, who died in the service of his country during the first world war in 1918.

She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church for many years. She had many friends who join with relatives in mourning her loss.

The funeral service will be held in Mauer's funeral home, Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. James E. Lombard, of Seney, officiating.

Burial will be in the family plot in the LeMars City Cemetery.
