She was born Sept. 9, 1930, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Clyde and Edith Harris Steinbrook. She married Thomas Otis on April 24, 1950, in Las Vegas. He died in 1995.
Otis was a homemaker. She enjoyed raising her children, ceramics, jewelry-making and other craft projects.
Survivors include four daughters, Kristina Scribner of Springfield, Patricia Bound of Las Vegas, Wanda Crump of Oakridge and Terry Read of Washington; a son, Thomas of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A son, Terrell Otis, died in 1984, and another son, James Otis, died in 1986. A grandson, James Bound, died March 16, 2005.
No service is planned. Inurnment will be at Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev. Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
