Samuel UEL was commissioned a Sercond Lieutenant in the No. 10th Militia Co. by Sir Guy Carleton on 8 Sep 1783. He belomged to yje Annapolis Royal Lodge of Ancient Masons as of 13 Apr 1795. As of the 1827 Cernsus, he was a farmer and belonged to the Church of England. He filed a will in the township of Clements on 29 Mar 1847 that was proved on 13 Sep 1855.

He married in 1797 in Digby Co. to Sarah Ditmars(1774-15 Jul,1862) and resided in Clements where they had their fifteen children:
