Mr. Andrew Beasley, 69 years old, died Monday at his home at Shafter. The funeral service and burial took place Tuesday morning at Oak Hill. Rev. Sam Muse conducted the funeral. Mr. Beasley was a well known farmer of the Shafter section and was respected and admired by a large number of friends and neighbors. Besides the widow, he is survived by eight children. They are Mrs. Ella Smith, of West Somerset, Mrs. Cora Hudson, Slate Branch, Oscar Beasley, Nancy, Mrs. Maude Muse, Somerset, Charlie Beasley, Miss Clora Beasley, Hascal Beasley, and Miss Sophia Beasley, all of Shafter. One brother, Crit Beasley, and a half-brother, S.F. Ashbrook also survive.
