Kathryn M. Petit de Mange, 91, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 26, 2014. She was born in Chester, PA daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Moran. Kathryn was a loving and devoted mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, James C. Petit de Mange; her granddaughter, Lauren; her brothers, John and James Moran; and by her sisters, Helen Abernathy and Margaret Kress. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Kutz Home and Compassionate Care for their kind care and support to Kathryn and to her care takers Julie and Doris. She is survived by her children, James A. "Bud" Petit de Mange (Janice), Michael J. Petit de Mange (Beth), Nancy Ludlam (Tom), Kathleen Sarnecki (Greg) and Eileen A. Shotwell (Paul); her grandchildren, Maureen, Emily, Sandra, Laura, Sean, Christopher, Bethann, Andrew, Jocelyn, Benjamin, Aimee, Katie, Kevin and Maria.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2503 Centerville Road Wilmington, on Friday, October 31 at 11:30am, where friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:30am. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kathryn may be sent to Make a Wish Foundation, 3519 Silverside Road Wilmington, DE 19810.
