Carol Melendy Knight age 88 of Wauchula passed away October 27, 2014 in Tampa Florida. She was born December 16, 1926 in Wauchula Florida and lived most of her life here in Hardee County.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Baxter Everhart Melendy and Donnie Gamble Melendy; two brothers and Inman Melendy, Jack Melendy; two sisters Lindrel Lyons, and Marion Kiella.
She is survived by three daughters Jeanne Andrews and her husband Clint of Gray, Tennessee, Daphne Batts and her husband Jerry of Wauchula, Janice Knight of North Dallas, Texas; one brother Harvey Melendy of Panama City, Florida; four grandchildren Heath, Heather, Carole, and Christi; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will take place in Wauchula Cemetery.
