Rudolph Chancellor was born on May 1, 1900 in Anderson County, South Carolina, the son of Elijah Chancellor (1869-1937) and Lula (Taylor) Chancellor (1877-1942).
Although he had been married, and, by the time of the 1900 census, was listed as divorced, his Death Certificate lists him as a widower. It also lists him as residing at #10 Tenn Chem Co in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee!
Rudolph worked for the Tennessee Chemical Company and was 41 years old when he died of a pulmonary thrombosis on May 18, 1941 in Nashville. Burial was three days later in Mount Ararat Cemetery, Nashville.
