Mrs. Margie M. Carver, 81, Jonesborough, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at her daughter's residence after a brief illness.

She was born July 10,1925, in Bakersville,NC. to the parents of Arthur and Mamie Boone Howell. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dan Carver, in 1972: two Children, Orbin Carver, in 1957, and Sarah Jo Carver, in 1963; Three brothers, Lloyd B. Howell, Charles Howell and Earnest Howell; and a sister Dorthy Norman.

Mrs Carver was a loving mother and homemaker and a long time member of Embreeville Chruch of Christ in Embreeville, TN.

Surviving: Four sons, Roby and wife, Paula Carver Brooks and wife, Rhonda Carver, Jeff Carver and John and wife, Faye Carver, all of Jonesborough; three daughters, Lou Ann and husband,Skip Weller, and Mamie and husband, Don Ratliff, all of Jonesborough, and Sylvia Gregg, Johnson City, TN; 12 Grand Children, Angella Jo Richmond, Rebecca Brooks, Daniel Carver, Steve Weller, Marline Price, Brooks Carver Jr. Michelle Ratliff, Deidre Ratliff, Derek Gregg, Jamey Carver, Chrystal Carver and Avery Carver; 18 Great Grand Children; Three brothers, Gordon Howell, Spruce Pine, NC, Roy Howell, Little Rock, AR., and Ben Ray Howell , Bakersville,NC; two sisters, Shelby Jean McMahan, Asheville,NC., and Myrtle Walker, Johnson City,TN.;Two sisters in law, Josie Howell, Black Mt. NC., and Sudie Howell, Johnson City; several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs Margie M. Carver will be held at 8:00pm Friday, May 25,2007, at the Embreeville Church of Christ, 4343 Highway 81 South, Erwin, Tn. with Minister Scott Phillips officiating. Music will be provided by Richard Storey. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 to 8pm Friday prior to the funeral service and other times at her home. Interment will be at 11:00 am Saturday, May 26, 2007, at Rebels Creek Cemetery in Bakersville,NC. Family and friends will meet at the Cemetery.
