Mary Chesnick, 86, of Union Dale, died Saturday at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. Born in Forest City, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Slodnik Telban, she was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City. Before her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers' Union. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Telban; and a sister, Margaret Peterlin. The funeral will be Tuesday from the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main St., Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Delaware Street, Forest City. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
