The angelic hosts came for Margaret Freeman Barefield, 97, on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at Lakeshore Village Nursing Home in Waco, among loving family and devoted friends. Viewing will be Friday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home, 406 Monroe St. in Teague. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Antioch Baptist Church, 610 N. Denton St. in Mexia, with Rev. Cleo High, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Mexia.
Margaret Freeman Barefield, the second of three children, was born Aug. 18, 1917 in Otto, to proud parents Will and Anna Lemuel Freeman. She spent her early life in the community of Otto. There she attended grade school and met and later married the love of her life, Henry B. Barefield. To this union, three loving children were born.
Margaret joined Antioch Baptist Church in Waco under the pastorage of Rev. R.L. Bailey.
