The officiant was Rev. Henry Bower. The Cridges had two children named Edmund John (born on Sept. 1, 1828 in Taunton) and Alfred Henry (born in 1836 in New York). The family lived at Harmony Row (cottages built by Charles Harman on Tancred Street) in Taunton (the East Gate/East Reach area), Somerset, England. They then came over to New York from Bristol, England on "Ship Superb". The Cridges arrived on May 11, 1832 and settled in Troy, NY. John became a naturalized U.S. citizen in or before 1855 (1855 New York census). In 1860 he lived at Ninth near Jacob. In 1870 he was at 99 Ninth (rear house). John died on May 4, 1873 in Troy.
