Olean Evening Times, Sept. 1, 1926:
"Mrs. Flora Gordon died at her home in Red House after a year's illness. She was 41 years old. Besides her husband she is survived by three children, Paul, Lorraine and Isabel all at home, two sisters Mrs. Edison Crouse of Coldspring and Mrs. Clarence Gordon of Red House. The funeral was held this afternoon from the home in Red House at 1:30 and from the Baptist Church at 2 o'clock. Rev. W. E. Davis of the First Methodist Episcopal church officiated. Interment was made at Red House."

The Greenwood Cemetery in Red House was relocated to Steamburg during the construction of the Kinzua Reservoir.

Flora's husband Ray Remington was raised by the Gordon family and used that surname for many years.

Flora was originally buried at Red House Cemetery. Because of the removal, a result of the Kinzua Dam Project, Flora was reinterred at Steamburg Cemetery, Steamburg, New York.
