BAKERSVILLE: Estelle Howell 92, of the Rebels Creek, died Tuesday, Jan.22,2002. She was the daughter of the late Jeff and Esther Wilson Murdock. Mrs Howell was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years ,in March 2001. She was also preceeded in death by two sons, J.D. and Guy Howell, and a grandson, Greg Howell. She was a life long member of the Rebels Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Wilma Tinnney and Liona Taylor, both of Bakersville; sons Ted and Kenneth Howell, both of Bakersville; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The funeral services will be held at 8.m. Thursday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Davis, Steve Williams and Wallace Wise will officate. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Rebels Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until the service hour Thursday at the funeral home.
