Judith A. Busarow, 76, passed away at her home after a brief battle with cancer on Sunday, January 11, 2009, with her husband by her side. Judy was born in Racine on February 20, 1932, to Walter and Edith (nee: James) Berg. She married Gene Busarow in Valparaiso, Ind. on July 10, 1950. Judy graduated from Racine Lutheran High School and attended Valparaiso University. Judy was a former and very active member of St. John's Lutheran Church until her and Gene retired to Green Bay. Judy flew the American flag every day with pride and was a Mayflower descendant. She was also an avid Packers fan. Most importantly, Judy was a devoted wife and mother. Judy is survived by her husband, Gene Busarow; children, Jeffrey (Candace) Busarow of Racine and Jayne Busarow of Green Bay; sisters, Janet (Jerry) Burke of Petersburg, W.VA. and Jeanne (Ted) Christoff of LaGrange Park, ILL.; brother-in-law, Don (Peggy) Busarow of Springfield, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Judy Bruce) Kosmatka of Shelby Township, Mich.; and sisters-in-law, Carol Busarow of Sturgeon Bay and Helen Busarow of Collinsville, ILL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services for Judy will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 16, 2009, at 7 p.m. with Rev. Richard Berg (cousin) officiating, along with organist , Don Busarow (brother-in-law). Interment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of services In lieu of flowers, memorials to Redeemer Lutheran Church and School in Green Bay or Racine Lutheran High School have been suggested.
