John (Jan) Holub was born in Vřesce Bohemia. He was the son of Marie Holub. He married Marie Rejlek on January 27, 1880. They came to America on May 31, 1884 on the ship "Bohemia". He and Marie had many children - Joseph, Frank, John, Louis, Albert, Emma, Bohumil, and Edward. He probably died May 4 or 5th, 1931 because his obituary was published in the local Czech language newspaper (Denni Hlasatel) on May 6, 1931.
