Barbara Munger, 80, of Branford died in New Haven on April 10, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Ernest C. Munger. She was born March 10, 1932 in New York, NY, a daughter of the late James and Helen Galligan. Barbara was a homemaker and was devoted to always helping others. Through the years she devoted her time to volunteering at CT Hospice, Branford Community Dining Room, Blackstone Library, Branford Medical Transport, Yale-New Haven Hospital, and St. Mary Church, where she also was a CCD teacher and active parishioner. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, loved to watch the UConn girl's basketball team, playing tennis and cards with her friends, and traveling. She will be sadly missed by her son Thomas Munger and his wife Veronica Cossio-Munger; her daughter Nancy Boutelle and companion Jay Sicignano, and her grandchildren, Fred and Stephanie Boutelle; her sister Eileen (Ken) Post and brother James (Judy) Galligan. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial Mass of Christian Burial Saturday morning at 10:00 in St. Mary Church, Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
