Frances T. Hruby, age 97, formerly of Spring Valley, died on Friday, May 11, 2007, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.

Frances was born on Feb. 19, 1910, in Polonia, daughter of the late John and Anna (Nornberg) Konopacki. On June 14, 1934, she married John E. Hruby in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1990. She enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking, bird watching and family. She loved an adventure and traveled frequently with her children.

Survivors include seven children: Pat Gottsacker, West Bend; John (Karen) Hruby, Washington; Mary (Glenn) Komoroski, Manitowoc; Craig (Pat) Hruby, Newton; Karen Hruby, Arizona; Margaret (Dennis) Jerabek, Athelstane; Ann (Sam) Vallone, Pewaukee; 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: John; and brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton. The Rev. David Beaudry will officiate.

Relatives and friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Father Carl Alberte Scholarship Fund, Queen of Apostles Congregation, N35 W23360 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee, WI 53072.

The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
