Eva June Randolph, 92, of Grand Island died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Mary Lanning Health Care in Hastings.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Apfel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Theresa Mason officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, St. Paul.
Mrs. Randolph was born May 10, 1922, in Elba to Frank and Martha (Curtis) Duester.
Those left to cherish her memories include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Joyce Bissett, Beverly and Donald Brewer, Debra and Robert Smith, Cheryl and Scott Grundzinski, all of Grand Island; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Harold Wayne Randolph, Darrell and Erika Randolph, Donald and Jill Randolph, all of Grand Island; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and another one due in May; three great-great-grandchildren and expecting another one in May; brother, Frank Duester of Denver, Colo.; and a sister, Diane Friend of Abilene, Texas.
Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Marcia Duester of Tacoma, Wash., and Shirley Duester of Sonoma, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
She received her education and grew to womanhood in Elba, graduating from Elba High School.
She was united in marriage to Harold Theodore Randolph on Feb. 13, 1942, at Lubbock, Texas, while he was serving in the United States Army and later the Air Force during World War II. The couple made their home in China, Burma, India, Germany, Newfoundland, Korea and Vietnam in the course of Harold’s military career. After his discharge in 1964, the couple resided in Lincoln before moving to Grand Island in 1966. Harold preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1980.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, VFW Auxiliary and the Eagles Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Randolph; brothers, Robert Duester and Daniel Duester; a sister, Lavonne Kelterborn; a son-in-law, Don Bissett; a sister-in-law, Gene Duester; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Randolph.
