William “Bill” Brooks, age 90, husband of Lorraine Brooks, of Brookview Lane, London, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. He was the father of Sharon Kidd and husband Bob, Susan Fiechter and husband Mike all of London, Luann Lee and husband Mike of Altavista, Virginia, Hank Brooks and wife Donna of Virginia Beach, Virginia. The brother of Mary Jane Grantham and husband Carson of Greensboro, North Carolina. Funeral services for William “Bill” Brooks will be conducted Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Terry Lester officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park with the local DAV in charge of military honors. The family of William “Bill” Brooks will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014 and from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Friday, October 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 804 West 5th Street, London, Kentucky 40741 to support the Missions and Ministries of First Baptist Church of London, Kentucky, Costal Community Church of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and First Baptist Church of Altavista, Virginia.
