DEATH NOTICE
DEATH OF ABRAM MARIS
Abram Maris, who died at his late residence, in Fairmount, this county, and was buried at Mount Muncie Friday, was one of the old residents. He was the son of an English Quaker preacher, who left his native land on account of religious intolerance and persecution, coming to America. The son, Abram, was also a Quaker preacher, and one of the most celebrated in Kansas. He had lived for many years at Fairmount, and was highly respected by all who knew him. He was born in Maryland in 1814, making him seventy-two years of age. He had been sick for six months before relieved from his sufferings by the summons of the Great Master. He was an able and good man, and his friends will keenly feel his loss.
