Jonathan Parsons and Phebe Griswold... Capt. Thomas Parsons then m. 18 July, 1762, Sarah Sawyer of Newbury, and was a shipmaster. He was missed at sea in Feb., 1772, and is supposed to have been murdered. His children by her were: i. Sarah, b. 9 July, 1766, at Newburyport. She m. Gorham Parsons, a merchant of Boston, brother of C. J. Parsons of the supreme court of Massachusetts, and d. 8 Dec, 1837, at Byfield. ii. Anne, b. 21 Feb., 1769, at Newburyport. She m. 3 Sept., 1789, Fitz William Sargent of Gloucester, Mass., and was living at Byfield in 1858, and had eight children. iii. Mary, b. 25 June, 1771, at Newburyport. She m. 26 April, 1791, Ignatius Sargent of Gloucester, and d. 1 Oct., 1792. iv. ____, b̶.̶ ̶1̶7̶7̶3̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶N̶e̶w̶b̶u̶r̶y̶p̶o̶r̶t̶,̶ ̶w̶h̶o̶ ̶m̶.̶ ̶S̶a̶m̶u̶e̶l̶ ̶T̶o̶r̶r̶y̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶B̶o̶s̶t̶o̶n̶. Thomas Parsons died Feb 1772 at St. Mary's Harbour, Nova Scotia; nobody was b. in 1773; Mary Turner Sargent m. Samuel Torrey.
