Chester William Owen was the son of Mr. Lawton Milton Owen and Dona Frances Boswell-LeMaster-Owen. He came to Oklahoma with his parents from Missouri at the age of seven. He was a carpenter by trade.
Chester was married to Cora Mae Owsley on November 27, 1916 at Pawhuska, Ok. Osage County. They were divorced July 2, 1937. Together they had 7 children.

On October 23, 1960 he married Hazel Frances King-Stout in Ponca City, Oklahoma. They resided at 624 South Thirteenth.

Cause of Death: Complete Heart Block, Myocardial Infarction, Generalized Arteriosclerosis.Chester William Owens, longtime area resident died at 3:25 p.m. Saturday in the St. Joseph Medical Center. He was 80 years old.
Born March 12, 1898, in Barry County, Missouri, to the parents of Lawton Milton and Dona "Donnie" Frances Boswell Owens. He came to Oklahoma with his family when he was seven years of age. He was a carpenter by trade.
Survivors are his wife, Hazel of the home, 624 South Thirteenth Street, two daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Opal) Roth of Route 3, Ponca City and Mrs. Agnes Curtalolo of Monterey, California, one step-daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Roberta) Hutson of Ponca City, a brother, Levi of Hominy, thee sisters, Mrs. Effie Ash of California, Mrs. Dorothy Walker of Washington, and Mrs. Maggie Walden of Oklahoma City, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Vera Owen of Ponca City, eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons and two daughters, a grandson (Johnie Erwin Roth) three sisters, four brothers and his parents.
Funeral service will be 2:30p.m. Wednesday in Hunsaker Funeral Home chapel in Fairfax with burial in the Fairfax Cemetery.

Grandpa's wife Hazel was a Jehovah's Witness and his daughter Opal made sure that he had a Military Headstone.

At the time of his death, his wife, Hazel, his daughter Opal and granddaughter Joy were at his bedside.

Cause of Death: Complete Heart Block, Myocardial Infarction, and Generalized Arterioscleriosis.

His first wife Cora Mae preceded in him death.
Grandpa Chet was an avid fisherman who would bring home lots of fish for mom to fry. Not so much a hunter, not everything he brought home tastes like "chicken".
